End of Semester 7...

This is the last journal that i could drop by in this blog spot. Tomorrow would be the last day for this semester. My mood could be described as sad but excited because semester is going to end already. Finally, we have done for everything in this subject. Position paper, presentation, e-journal and the most important is the research paper. Everything is done and my burden has gone too. all the stress just went away. In this subject, i learned a lot of new knowledge especially when i was doing on my research paper. That is why, i would like to thank for Dr. Malachi Edwin, Mr. Omid and my supervisor Pn. Juridah for their kindness and guidelines. Thank You!! 

Editing of my Research Paper...

Today, i went to meet my supervisor again. This time she told me to edit on my Research Paper. My introduction part got some problem so i need to re-do again on introduction part. Besides that, i need to edit on my format too. Supervisor wants me to ask one of my coursemate about the format. So, i asked her and i edit on it again. The last draft needs to be submitted on next monday in the morning. hmmmm... miserable~ another night of being an owl! haha~

My Supervisor is not in the office. . .

Today, i thought of meeting up with my supervisor. But, she was not in the office. Therefore, i just left a note for her that i will meet up with her by tomorrow morning. Actually, the purpose i meet her up today is to get back my second draft of my research paper. But, it is too late. Tomorrow would be the due date.. it is week 13's last day. So, i will submit my research paper tomorrow in the morning. sad~ 

Research Paper..

i was doing my research paper yesterday. this was the final draft of this research paper. it was so hard when came to analyze the play of "A Streetcar Named Desire". this play is too abstract until i could not analyze it better. so, i read it all over again and try to analyze from the language used by the author. slowly, i could catch some of the things that i would like to put in my research paper. i did it ... and finally it is over! i finished the whole research paper. Bravo!  

Week 13. . .

This week is already week 13. And it is the submission week of my research paper. I am still working on it. Still have a lot more to edit for my final draft to pass up for my supervisor. But, i could finish it on time. so, no worries! Ha~ after pass up this research paper i would feel more relax and de-stress. most of my time is putting on this research paper. this is because before i started to do it, i need to re-read the whole three plays again. i need to examine the used of the languages by the author too. it is so difficult. sometimes, really did until headache because i am hanging in the middle of the sea when i could not think of how to write on my research paper. it is suffering but i gain a lot of new knowledges too. it is awesome! yeah~ 

Meet Up with My Supervisor~

It was the fourth time i met up with my supervisor. Today, Pn. Juridah wants me to divide my research paper into seven parts. there are the introduction, thesis statement, biography, synopsis, analysis, conclusion and implication in education. we were talking about how should i procede on my research paper. we were discussing on it around one hour. and i got to know the idea on how to procede on my research paper. Thanks for the kind guideness from my supervisor.

Dr. Edwin got angry!!

Today is thursday again. as usual we have Dr. Edwin's class. actually today we need to learn the essay as Dr. Edwin had assigned us to read on it. so, Dr. Edwin started to ask the class on what is empire means! Then, there are a few students came in late into class and interrupted the whole class teaching session. After a while there are a few more of them. Dr. Edwin got pissed because of late comers. So, he asked what had happened? The reason was they went to do for the research for a master student and therefore they are late to class. but, Dr. Edwin was very angry and he said he could not continue to teach in the class. So, he went off. This is right for Dr. Edwin to do so because if i am standing on his shoes, i will get angry too. So, we could not finish our lesson on thursday. 

No Mr. Omid's class~~

Today, we do not have tutorial class. this is due to the public holiday. And i just sat at home did for my research paper and so on. Nothing is interesting for this week's wednesday class. Sigh... 

Learning of letters in Dr. Edwin class~

It's been a week i never see Dr. Edwin. But, today he attended into class. And he is as usual loves to make jokes. Hahaha.. Everyone of us keeps on laughing. Before the class started, we were actually viewing for the DVD which have not finish viewing in the last week. After finished it, Dr. Edwin asked quite some kinds of different questions based on the movie. And we answer him on what we think of this movie. Later on, he moved to the most interesting question- As you are a teacher, what kind of metaphor/images that you want to go for?? We answered it one by one. Starting from the row behind until the front row. And it came out with a lot of funny images. This makes me laugh non stop in the class. The most funniest images we got is by Nalini. She said "if i am a teacher, i am like an ATM Machine which stands on the knowledge provider rather than money provider." Everyone of us is laughing and laughing included Dr. Edwin as well. LOL.. This is so happy and interesting. Additional, Dr. Edwin done a little bit of letters with us and the class ended in this chapter. Next class we would study on the new chapter... Winks *~

Finally... it is my turn!!!

Today, it was the last week of presentation for our position paper. Everyone in the class is feeling happy though because we knew that the Hari Raya's holiday is just around the corner. But, we still have our research paper to go on and we are feeling stress. So, one by one of my coursemates went up to the stage and presented their position paper. While Mr. Omid was sitting behind to observe every of the presentations done by us. All of my coursemates done a very good job. They did very well in their powerpoint presentation and the creativity of their works too. Finally, it was my turn to go up the stage and present for my position paper after i have been waiting for three weeks time. I was quite nervous at first but after a few seconds, i felt more comfortable with the stage. And i presented it with full confident. My title for my position paper is Godfather's Death by Jakob and Wilhelm Grimm. This is an interesting short story and it teaches us to think in critically way. I learned a lot of knowledges while i was doing this position paper. It taught me many kinds of moral values and all these could be used for my future. Anyway, today was a great day of Mr. Omid's class. He is a kind and friendly like our lecturer- Dr. Edwin! I was pretty happy though after finished this presentation. Next session....to be continued~

Presentation day . . .

Today, we did our presentation on our position paper in Mr. Omid's class. It was interesting when i was looking at my coursemates' job. They really did very well in the powerpoint designed. And of course their presentation as well. But, today have not reach my turn yet. Mr. Omid said next wednesday everyone of us must finish present everything. So, i'll be presenting it on next wednesday. hehehe... And, Mr. omid praised Elizabeth for the best presentation. She really did very well. Her input for everyone is clear and we understand well too. So, i am waititng for the next presentation. Bravo!!

Interesting Class of Dr. Edwin. . .

Wow.. Wow... Today, when i got into the class early in the morning, i heard our coursemates said that there would be a poet come into Dr. Edwin's class. After heard of it, i found it was interesting because i want to know who is the poet actually. I have been waiting for Dr. Edwin class for two hours plus. At last, i was in the class. The moment i step into the class, i saw many people with the unfamiliar looks. I have no ideas about the existing of them. Then, coursemates said they are the cohart twinning students. Then, in front of class came in two beautiful ladies and Dr. Edwin. The two ladies came from British Council. They introduced themselves. And finally i saw the poet. She introduced herself and she is from Birmingham, United Kingdom. But, when she was young, her parents and the whole family had moved to Jamaica. Firstly, she wants us to form a group of ten. Then, we sit together and she passed the paper around. It is a poem titled Lulu. She wants us to read aloud with the whole class, then read by ourselves and the last time read aloud with the group members. So, we did what she had assigned us to do. Then, she asked three questions about this poem. First, she asked what do we know? Second, What do we think we know? and the last, What do we want to know? And every group would elect a member to declare their answers in front of the class. Know what? It comes out with a lot of funny answers but it really fun and make sense. Then, She wants us to write the own poem based on the role of narrator, Lulu and mother. Then, we would recite our poem in front. And there are some love poem, comedy poem and many many more. We are havin so much fun. And, just a while of the class, it is already five in the evening and it is the end of the class. She gave every group member a British Council note book. Today, i really learned a lot of new things. Although it is only two hours class, but i learned the ways on how to teach poem interestingly to the class instead of boring environment.

Tutorial again...

Today is the tutorial class again. And it is the presentation day for our position paper as well. We used powerpoint to do our presentation. For this session, Mr. Omid called up all the volunteers to present their work. And today, there are only eleven people presented. I found that they are really present very well in their presentation. They come out with many different kind of thinking, argument and supporting ideas. So, the next class we will still continue with our presentation and the due date of our position paper.

The Review of "The Andy Warhol Diaries"

Today, Dr. Edwin did not attend class but he assigned us to watch the review of "The Andy Warhol Diaries". So, we watched it together for one hour review. From the beginning of this review, i found that it is very boring. And the whole class of us do not know what it is all about. It keeps on flash the different kind of pictures with different colours and shape. The flashing of pictures started from year of 1976 until year of 1982. After the review finished, only then i know it is all about the contribution of Andy Warhol in his life. He has a lot of contributions. For example, the little painting of Elizabeth Taylor, Campbell's soup painting and etc. It is quite interesting though because it is the six years hard work by Andy warhol. So, next class Dr. Edwin will discuss with us on the text of "The Andy Warhol Diaries".

Mr. Omid's Tutorial class...

Today, Mr Omid is going to discuss the thesis research with the whole class. At first it is quite boring though. But, after a while, Mr. omid assigned us to get into groups with the people who are doing the same topic in position paper. We discuss to each other by giving our own opinions and so on. Then, we need to show up our first draft for position paper to compare with our group partner. From here, i learned a lot and i got to perceive a lot of new ideas for my position paper. At least, i got to know what should i write for my arguement because i could not find any idea to suppport my thesis statement. Although it is just a three hours class but time passed exteremely fast today. We end our lesson by comparing our position draft.

My Opinion towards Godfather Death by Jakob and Wilhem Grimm

i choose this short story- Godfather Death by Jakob and Wilhem Grimm for choice of my position paper. this story has a lot of moral values that we could learn from it. Firstly, the godson has being passed to a deathman as his godfather. So, this deathman said he will make his godson to be a well-known doctor and a rich man. Then, the people all around the world would bring their sickness to this godson. But, this godson never respect to his godfather at all. He thought that whatever he does his godfather will just turn a blind eye. At first, he cured a king who is supposed to be death but his godfather forgive him but he did the second time for the princess. This is in order for him to marry the princess and become a king so he did it. At the end, this godson dies because he ignores godfather's warning. Due to godson's uncontrolled desire for the power has leads him to become a well-known doctor but at the same time he sacrifices his life too. In this world, all the things are fair enough. If somebody get something special from god, for sure he will lose something in the same time too. We could not act so selfish in order to get what we want to because whatever in this world it is always fair. This is my opinion towards this short story. It is a great story.

My First Tutorial Class

Today was the second lecture for the subject of readings and project work for teaching literature in ESL contexts. Mr. Omid is our tutor for tutorial class. He taught a lot of stuffs in the class. Firstly, he wanted us to do for the outline for Ovid's Metamorphosis "Pyramus and Thisbe". So, we formed a group of four and thought about the thesis statement. Then, we wrote it on the paper. In the meanwhile, we also looked for all the supporting ideas to support our thesis statement. After twenty minutes later, Mr. Omid came to our place and discuss for the thesis statement. He said our thesis statement could not be used because the length is too long and the there do not have any supporting points at all.. so, we did it again.. This outline need to pass up by next wednesday. This Ovid's story is quite foolish for i taught. It is really ridiculous for someone to love deeply and leads them toward foolishness actions. Next class we'll do on the same text too.

First day in the new semester!

Today is the first day we attend for Dr. Edwin's class. It was excited to see our beloved lecturer. But, the excitement had turned into nightmare just in a blink of an eye. Haha.. Dr. Edwin firstly read aloud the course outline and slowly go into all the things that we need to do in this semester. It was really headache when i listened to all the assignments that we need to submit in week 13. Everyone has to do the position paper, posting e-journal, and the most heavy is do the research paper. I really do not know what should i do at all. But, i got to know my supervisor for this research paper is Pn. Juridah. So, Dr. Edwin explained the whole course outline and he finally told us that he hired a tutor for our tutorial class. And that person is Mr. Omid. Haha.. So, i need to wait until the next class to continue my weekly journal...
